Establish The Foundation's Online Presence

Phase 1

Slidesigma designed the WordPress website, e-newsletter, social media page and implementing SEO. We provided the content and structure. We provided keywords and explained what was needed on each page. They used their creativity to develop wireframes for us to review.

We found them on Craigslist, saw that they were a local agency, and looked at their prior work. We scheduled a face-to-face interview and subsequently checked references. They seemed credible and knowledgeable, so we decided to give them a try. They produced a great site.

Their prices are comparable to the going rate in the industry.

We started working with them at the beginning of December 2016 and the project was completed by the end of the month. The turnaround time is exceptional. We have a service contract and they continue to post content for us and manage any issues that arise with PAYPAL, navigation or broken links, etc.

The Challange

We needed to completely re-develop the foundation’s website, enhance its virtual footprint and communicate the goals of the foundation. This includes improving site navigation features, increasing traffic and user engagement, and streamlining the online donation process. Our aim was to help further the important research undertaken by this institution and by Dr. Legato while simultaneously, promoting the foundation’s core goal of being a leader within the umbrella of the International Society for Gender Medicine.

The foundation’s logo pays homage to the Greek legend of Prometheus; a Titan who gave fire and gender to humanity against the will of Zeus. The website’s color scheme therefore, became predominantly fire red underscored with light and dark hues, matching its brand and identity.

Our team completely redeveloped the foundation’s website, transforming it to a fully responsive, dynamic educational platform that satisfied its primary informative goal with enhanced UX and UI features.

The next step was to boost the website’s rankings on Google. Our SEO strategy involved a combination of 250 keywords and long-tail keywords relevant to the foundation’s core functions. In a short period of time, we were successfully able rank first in Google’s search results and significantly increased organic site traffic. Our strategy resulted in a sharp increase in the amount of donations to the site; over a million dollars annually during 2015 and 2016 and up to $1.5M as of 2017.

On the social scale, we established, optimized and synced the foundation’s social media pages to events such as its annual gala and Dr. Legato’s attendance of international seminars. We developed a mobile application for the foundation that can be downloaded on both Android and iOS platforms. We actively manage the weekly publication of weekly newsletters and blog articles and post them to social media platforms used by the foundation. We noticed a marked increase in the website’s user engagement and the number of its recurring visitors. Dr. Legato’s groundbreaking research of over eleven top-selling books were now showcased on the website and managed by Slide Sigma on third-party sellers.

To date, we have become a part of the foundation’s digital management team and provide continuous support that helps the foundation maintain its online presence and support its digital footprint.
